Hi - my name is Renaee, I am a 54 year old stay-at-home-mum and Templestowe resident (Melbourne, Australia). We moved into the area about 5 years ago so Lee could attend Templestowe College for highschool.
I retired from my job during the Pandemic in 2021 and now focus on growing food at home, simplifying my life as much as possible to save money, and giving thanks for the simple pleasures of life - being close to the beautiful Birarung River, for the abundant wildlife and bushland of this area we live in and to have time and space to continue figuring out what-is-mine-to-do in a time of endings (while juggling the paradoxical realisation that there is no doer). Building this website and attempting to start a local resilience group is part of that ongoing process.
My work background was in website development, specialising in open source community platforms CiviCRM, Drupal and Backdrop. This website is built in the Backdrop CMS, a fork of Drupal. I now occaisionally do websites for artists/small business owners.
I also built a website (many years ago) for my partner who loves to review movies, and you can find that at movie-reviews.com.au. We are all different and have different hobbies, our differences make the world interesting :-)
