Logging of Victorian State Forests continues - even in lockdown
Logging is criminal in a Climate and Ecological Emergency
Just an hour's drive from Melbourne, in our beautiful state forests near Toolangi - coupes are being clearfelled by loggers who have been working there for months removing trees destined for woodchips, paper and wooden pellets. These images were taken from this logging coupe on a cold winter's morning in June. Now, while the whole of Victoria is in lockdown, contractors employed by the State Govt sanctioned forest agency known as VicForests are continuing to work to destroy our forests in secret.

Just how much logging is going on in Victorian State Forests?
Most people will be shocked to learn at the amount of land that VicForests attempt to log through out our state. By reviewing the maps below, you will begin to get an idea of how many acres they wish to, or have already, logged. Luckily due to the ongoing work of various organisation and groups, taking direct action and legal proceedings, some of these areas have not been touched.
